Girls Inc. of Southwestern CT (Girls Inc. of SWCT) is dedicated to actions that assure a better, more rewarding future for girls by reversing the negative statistics and uncertainty that affect the girls of today. We initiate and execute focused programming that enables girls to reach their full potential as contributors and achieve their economic and social goals. We give them tools to overcome many barriers that exist in our society, and thus we not only empower individual girls but transform entire families and communities. At Girls Inc. of SWCT every girl counts.
We at Girls Inc. of SWCT fully understand that much of the future of the world rests in the hands of girls. The communities that we cover in Southwestern Connecticut are very diverse, and many of the girls we serve come from families at or just above the poverty level. We depend greatly on the generosity and support of public and private donors, corporations and our community to assist us in achieving our goals. Remember, by inspiring and mobilizing support for girls' empowerment and well-being we ensure economic equality and social progress.
